6 years ago, Kelly moved to San Diego from Kansas City! Recently, Miss Griffin was honored as Teacher of the Year for her initiative and efforts in building the framework and curriculum for a district social emotional learning program. The T.R.A.C. program was piloted in 2017 by Sarah Wood. Kelly joined her 7 months later to pilot at Mission Estancia Elementary and within 3 years, the program was adopted by all 9 schools and made required curriculum for the entire student population. Kelly also started her own SEL program in Del Mar and has worked as a speaker for the Sandy Hook Promise. She is passionate about social emotional literacy and creating relatable, meaningful and life-changing lessons for her students. She also works in training and inspiring educators through custom SEL workshops and presentations. She loves photography and animal rescue and painting.
